Public notification relating to the Environmental Impact Assessment Consideration Statement for [tentative name] Saga Karatsu City Offshore Wind Power Project

　Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. (President: Takehiro Honjo, hereinafter, “Osaka Gas”) and Acacia Renewables K.K. (CEO: Jun Ohashi, hereinafter, “Acacia”) have, on this date, sent the "Environmental Impact Assessment Consideration Statement for [tentative name] Saga Karatsu City Offshore Wind Power Project" (hereinafter, "EIA Consideration Statement"), based on the Environmental Impact Assessment Law, to the Minister of METI1, the Governor of Saga Prefecture, the Mayor or Karatsu City, the Mayor of Genkai Town, the Governor of Nagasaki Prefecture, the Mayor of Matsuura City, the Mayor of Iki City, and the Mayor of Hirado City.

　In addition, we will carry out a public notification of the EIA Consideration Statement as follows below. 　Osaka Gas and Acacia signed an agreement to cooperate on the development of offshore wind power generation in Japan on March 9, this year.2 Through continued stakeholder engagement of all relevant parties, starting with the local community, we will move responsibly towards the realization of this endeavor.

Public notification of EIA Consideration Statement

1) Location for public notification: Official buildings for the related local governments (Karatsu City Hall, Nagasaki Prefectural Office, Matsuura City Hall and its other administrative offices, Iki City Hall, as well as Hirado City Hall and its other administrative offices)

2) Time period for public notification: Monday August 3, 2020 to Wednesday September 2, 2020.
