This integration brings together specialists in green energy principal investment, project development and delivery, and portfolio management and advisory services.
Formosa 1 Wind Farm
The first operational offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
Formosa 1 is a two phase project located off the west coast of Taiwan and is the most advanced of Taiwan’s offshore wind developments.
Macquarie acquired a 50% stake in the 128MW project, phase 1 construction has completed and phase 2 is expected to be commissioned by 2020.
The project targets to achieve 3GW of offshore wind by 2025.
Japanese Solar Development Assets
Investing into a portfolio in excess of 300MW of Japanese solar development assets.
Post Fukushima, the Japanese Government implemented a new feed in tariff to support the development of renewable energy to encourage clean generation following the shut-down of all nuclear plants.
Macquarie has partnered with strong development partners in Japan to realise a portfolio of assets in excess of 300MW.
